MICHAEL ORENSTEIN AS MIKE - At the age of five, he knew he wanted to be in theater. At the age of six, his parents put the kibosh on that idea. School had started and things were going to well to waste a life in treading the boards. Despite a desperate desire to get a call from the people at Zoom, acting would have to be relegated to musicals done at camp where the parents wouldn't know. A love of science took root, which ended up in an Honors degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Shortly into college, a new entertainment idea struck - Stand-up Comedy. A lifelong love (listening to it at least) could now actually be tried…there was a club on campus. So, after much drinking and even more thinking, the first stand-up set was attempted. By the time college ended, the science degree was a worthless piece of paper - comedy was already paying the bills, research was no longer an option. Angry phones calls from parents flooded the lines and after 14 years, fifty states and five countries, a move to Los Angeles was in order. After the initial depression that comes with moving to a town where all of you friends are doing better than you are, theatre was once again on the plate. A year with the LA Connection doing improv, several self-financed sketch troupes, warm up work on a variety of shows (VH1's My Generation and the RuPaul Show, Animal Planet's Zooventure, Fox's Funniest Home Videos and the Magic Hour), and countless student films, as well as commercial work followed. And now Ladies and Gentlemen in the role of Mike - is Mike.
